ESP-awarded tenders reach P1.4bn

Since the launch of the much-hyped Economic Stimulus Package (ESP) last October, government has awarded tenders to the tune of P1.4 billion.

About P3.6 billion is expected to be spent under the stimulus package over the next three years with P2.2 billion allocated for the 2016-2017 financial year.

Briefing parliamentarians recently, assistant minister for Presidential Affairs and Public Administration, Dikgang Makgalemele revealed that the majority of companies that benefited are citizen-owned companies.
