On July 8, 2016, Orange Foundation will for the seventh consecutive year award top achieving students in the Special Needs Category (SNC) at the Botswana Examination Council (BEC) Annual Excellence Awards. The SNC recognises students’ hard work and excellence in their final examinations, despite the situation they find themselves in.

This award reinforces Orange Foundation strategy of supporting digital education for Batswana. The award promotes digital education for students living with disabilities by offering them digital tools such as laptops, JAWS software and tablets.

“JAWS is a software that makes learning for the visually impaired easier as it converts written text into spoken words and reads out the info in the computer screen through speakers or headphones.
