Ghanzi duo murder trial adjourns

LOBATSE: Justice Abednego Tafa of Lobatse High Court on Tuesday adjourned the trial of Tshiamo Kgalalelo and Mmika Mpe to July 27. The duo face four counts of rape, robbery, murder and arson.

The two accused persons are alleged to have on January 31, 2014 at Leon Vorster’s farm in Ghanzi, sexually assaulted their employer before killing her.

The two, who were employed at Vorster’s farm as farm labourers, are alleged to have robbed Reinette Vorster of a Toyota Hilux valued at P300,000, two cellphones and cash amounting to P11,000. They are alleged to have used violence when committing the offence.
