Rakgomo's death opened up a vacancy in the South East council

Best Mosadi (57) will represent the Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) in the upcoming Kelemogile ward by-election in Ramotswa, Mmegi has learnt.

The council seat fell vacant after the death of Molemi Rakgomo of the Botswana Congress Party (BCP), who committed suicide late in April.

Mmegi has learnt that the BDP recently sent a campaign team to do ground work in the area and analyse the chances of winning.
