The Botswana Football Association (BFA) admits it is too broke to effectively prepare the Zebras ahead of a crucial Africa Cup of Nations encounter against Uganda in June.

In contrast, their opponents are leaving no stone unturned in their quest to reach Gabon in 2017 as they will set base in Zimbabwe for two weeks prior to the Zebras clash. Besides playing Zimbabwe, Uganda will face one of the top five African sides in a friendly match, serving a notice of intent to the resource- constrained Zebras.

Uganda are joint top with Burkina Faso on seven points while the Zebras are second with six, with two matches remaining. Only the group winners and two best-placed runners-up progress to next year’s finals.
