UB student elections set for Monday

The president of University of Botswana Student Representative Council (UBSRC) Macdonald Kgosiekae says their elections are likely to be held next Monday. “We had to postpone the elections this week to next week because of a court case.

Again the chief electoral officer had written to SRC that the court has ordered that things should be done procedurally. The other thing was that the urgent court case was finalised late on Sunday,” Kgosiekae said yesterday.

He said the SRC agreed to the postponement because preparations of elections were disturbed by a court case, which was heard on Sunday.
