FRANCISTOWN: Reports have emerged indicating that the country’s top fugitive, Edward Samotse, who twice escaped custody, has been arrested in South Africa. Samotse, who was in custody for allegedly killing his girlfriend, reportedly escaped from Nyangabgwe Referral Hospital (NRH) in October 2014, while under the custody of prison officials.

He is now reportedly in a South African jail awaiting trial for four robberies he committed in that country.   According to a South African weekly, The Sunday Times, the 28-year old Samotse was arrested recently in connection with four robbery incidents that happened between March 5 and March 24 this year at Hwibi hiking spot in the Limpopo province.

Samotse is locked up at Polokwane prison and will appear again in court for mention on May 24.
