Three percent judgment reserved

Arguing BOFEPUSU’s case, Mboki Chilisa told court that government acted in bad faith in increasing salaries of civil servants outside the Public Service Bargaining Council (PSBC).

“We want the court to enforce our rights to bargain collectively with the government, in one of their arguments, they say the PSBC is defunct and they had no one to bargain with, but we have seen, for example, in 2011 the government negotiating with individual recognised unions,” he said.
