PALAPYE: Opposition parties, Umbrella for Democratic Change (UDC) and Botswana Congress Party (BCP) have registered their disappointment at the arrest of freelance journalist, Sonny Serite.

Serite was arrested and later charged by the police for using a stolen file from the government, in particular from the Office of the President.

Addressing a political rally over the weekend, Member of Parliament for Selebi-Phikwe West, Dithapelo Keorapetse, said that since President Ian Khama came into office, Botswana has experienced the arrest of several journalists.
