Number Of Women In Senior Positions Rise � Survey

The latest Grant Thornton annual global survey has noted an increase in the number of women who hold senior management positions in Botswana to 23 percent up seven percentage points from 16 percent recorded last year.

The global survey was conducted in 5,220 businesses across 36 economies.

The survey indicates that Botswana performs far better and is among the top 10 countries with the highest proportions of female chief executive officers at 15 percent. Sprint Couriers, who recently won the Private Business Growth Award, is one of the companies locally, which is led by women as founders, Pinkie Setlalekgosi and Michelle Gebrial.
