PALAPYE: Police in Palapye are investigating a case in which two boys were injured at their father’s house in Extension 3 with their father later found hanging from a tree near Palapye Sub-Land Board offices.

Although the police said they cannot link the two incidents, rumours are rife that their father attacked the boys after he had a misunderstanding with their mother. He is said to have used a hammer to injure the boys.

Palapye police station commander, superintendent Waboraro Ramaja, said they received a report on Sunday night that two boys aged nine and 11 were spotted with severe head injuries. He said on their arrival at the scene, they found the boys in critical condition and took them to Palapye Primary Hospital where they were later transferred to Nyangagwe Referral Hospital.
