Four national awards namely: Guidance and Counselling Project of the Year Award, Outstanding Guidance and Counsellor Award, Emerging Professional Guidance and Counsellor Award and Distinguished Service in Guidance and Counselling Award will be given. Teachers from both public and private secondary schools will be recognised.
According to the Acting Registrar and Director of Enrolment and Registry, Moss Garde, the event is meant to inform the teachers about the second national university and what it offers. "There will be exhibitions by the University and stakeholders who offer a service to the students," he said, in a media statement.
He added that the event will recognise and appreciate the efforts of Guidance and Counselling teachers across Botswana in contributing positively to the nation.
