Women�s cricket team tours Namibia

The senior women’s cricket team departed for Namibia yesterday for a 40 over triangular series, which starts tomorrow. Botswana will face Namibia and the Namibia Invitational XI in a tournament named after the late Raymond van Schoor.

The deceased, Namibian men’s team player, passed away during a game in South Africa a few weeks ago.

Laura Mophakedi captains Botswana’s 14-member team, which is mainly dominated by young players. The team also consists of experienced players who include Florence Samanyika and Shameela Mosweu, a former Under 19 national team captain.
