SEROWE: Gilport Lions continued their recent resurgence when they held reigning league champions, Mochudi Centre Chiefs to a 2-2 draw in a lukewarm Mascom Top 8 quarterfinal tie at the Serowe Sports Complex on Friday night. Both teams now have all to do in the second leg in a fortnight although Chiefs would resume as favourites after scoring two away goals.

The Lions roared into a dream start when Zimbabwean, Ozias Zibande gave his side the lead firing from close range in the eighth minute. At the opposite end, Lemponye Tshireletso skied his effort when clean through.

However, it did not take long for Chiefs to restore parity when Keaketswe ‘Mara’ Moloi was upended in the box and Kaelo Kgaswane buried from the spot in the 21st minute.
