Law To Spruce Up Construction Industry Coming

The Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Infrastructure, Science and Technology, Dikagiso Mokotedi, has said that they are currently crafting a new law that will change the face of the construction industry.

Speaking during the second installment of the PPC Cement Botswana Builder’s and Construction Exposition recently, Mokotedi said that the law will focus on the industry’s desire to self-regulate for improved service to its customers, thus contribute towards the development of the economy.

“Crafting a law takes time, particularly when you are pioneering and dealing with issues which seek to change practices which have prevailed from a long time and people gotten accustomed to them.”
