Crocs devouring children, livestock

District Wildlife officials recently confirmed the rising cases of crocodiles attack on livestock and residents in the Setatunga and Tsanakona areas. Senior Wildlife warden, Isaac Nato of the Problem Animal Control Unit at Department of Wildfire and National Parks in Maun said they are recording worrying incidents of crocodiles attacks on children in the rivers. He said on the 15th May, a crocodile attacked a 13 year old boy while he was fishing and broke his right hand.
Another incident was recorded in January when a 13 year old boy also sustained injuries after he was also attacked by a crocodile when he was swimming with other two boys in sitatunga area.
