The show was held on Wednesday and on Thursday as part of the ongoing Maitisong Festival.  Moonga K's mother and his two sisters accompanied the singer and his band on one song.

Moonga K's twin sister Mwape, and little sister Sheba won the spotlight as they each performed their solos. For the most part, Moonga K and his band did cabaret, covering top songs by such greats as Beyonce, Adele and Ceelo Green. The beginning of the show was marred by filmmakers recording the show, who seemed ill-prepared and thus forced the performers to wait for them.  Even after the show started, the film crew wandered on and off stage, adjusting their equipment.

The paltry crowd, mostly made up of Moonga K's age mates in the care of their parents, was well-behaved, waiting patiently until the end of each song before they applauded.  Moonga K also performed, Keep My Dream Alive - the song he co-wrote with Cedric Ncube, one of his band members, which he also performed at the Battle of the Finalists' grand finale.  It was evident on

that evening that the youngster has come of age.

His performance of the last song before the interval won him the applause.  For his performance of Jessie J's Price Tag, members of the audience joined him on stage.  The momentum that he had inspired just before the intermission was still present when the show resumed for its second half.  This time, Moonga K took it a notch higher when he called girls onto the stage and performed love songs for them.  He also put up an exciting performance in his rendition of Ceelo Green's Forget You.  He closed the show with Beyonce's Halo.   Moonga K's very able band consists of Cedric Ncube and Andrew Williams on guitars, as well as Kaelo Moahi on violin. His first shot to stardom was in 2009 when he auditioned for MAD, and was awarded the Judges' Choice Award.

This year, he was in the top three of the Battle of the Finalists. He has also performed in My Funny Valentine and hosted a concert as part of the Maitisong Festival last year.
