BMD youth want 50 percent women representation

So far the BMD constitution advocates for 30 percent, but the party is not abiding by its commitment.
Yesterday, the BMDYL president Phenyo Segokgo told the media that their call is motivated by the fact that they value the contribution of women in the party. “We need women’s voice in all committees and even in issues of policy making. Even if the party does not agree to 50% representation, but it should agree on the percentage that would be binding,” Segokgo said.
