While holding an emergency meeting with senior party members in Palapye on Monday, President Ian Khama uttered a few words that have shaken the race for the chairmanship of his party, that also have serious consequences on the political future of some of the candidates.

President Ian Khama’s alleged endorsement of his Vice President Mokgweetsi Masisi for the chairmanship of the Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) has stirred a hornet’s nest and is likely to shatter many dreams.
