Rhumba fans treated to good music at Alliance Francaise

Congolese band, Zing Zong held a Rhumba night dubbed ‘Francophonie Soiree Congolaise’ at Alliance Francaise on Friday.

Democratic Republic of Congo was chosen as the French speaking country to be celebrated this year, based on the fact that it is the largest French speaking country in Africa.The Francophonie event has been taking place for years with various countries and cultures being featured and celebrated. Local Rhumba queen Charity Ntebang was featured alongside Zing Zong, Pepe Samy, Franck Wandile Nfumu, Kapenda Katuta and Kennedy. There was food and music galore at the show. French speaking people as well as other nationals thronged the place.

The show organizer and Zing Zong band member, Samy ‘Pepe Samy’ Bamu, said he has been out of the music industry for a long time so he wanted to do a come back show featuring Ntebang.
