Kency Construction Company (KCC) has partnered with Mmegi Newspaper, to establish a leadership award named after one of the pioneers of Botswana, Gaositwe Chiepe.

The director of KCC, Barolong Mouwane told Mmegi, that the award would go a long way in helping carve future leaders. The award is open to learners in secondary schools only.

“We chose Chiepe for the award because she embodies the attributes we would like to instill in the upcoming generations. One of these is that a leader is first and foremost a servant of the people that he or she leads. If we can have learners aspire to be leaders like Chiepe, this country will go far,” he said.
