Bobonong juniors dominate cross - country finals

Bobonong athletes dominated the junior events in the 2015 National Cross Country finals in Gaborone over the weekend. The athletes made a clean sweep of the top three positions in the four races in the junior category.However Bobonong senior athletes failed to emulate their juniors.

The highlight was in the senior women’s 8 kilometres race where Omneile Dintwe stamped her authority throughout the event.

Botswana Athletics Association (BAA) vice president, Glody Dube said he was impressed with the athletes’ overall performances despite the searing heat. He said times recorded showed great improvement and a number of athletes would be selected for the World Marathon in China on March 28.
