Mabeo laments Kanye�s �hell highway�

Transport and Communications Minister, Tshenolo Mabeo, says the poor state of the Gabane-Kanye road is behind an increase in traffic accidents and fatalities.

Responding to the State of the Nation Address in Parliament on Monday, Mabeo shared statistics indicating that so far this year, there have been 72 traffic accidents on the road, up from 52 for the whole of 2013.

There have been 49 accidents on the stretch of the road along Kumakwane village, which Mabeo said is traumatising residents of the area.
