Woman in court for murder

PALAPYE: A 29-year-old woman yesterday appeared before the Palapye magistrate court to face a single count of murder.

Pelontle Malele, who appeared before magistrate Thapelo Buang, is alleged to have stabbed Mompoloki Mpati of Lerala with a sharp object in the neck at a shebeen in Serorome ward in Palapye last week Thursday. He is reported to have died instantly.

According to the court papers, Malele allegedly killed Mpati by stabbing him on the neck after they had a fierce argument at Boikhutso Depot, a popular drinking spot in the area.
