Holy Cross Hospice is a community-based hospice that was initiated by the Women ‘s Association of the Anglican Church. The Hospice caters for 20 out-patients from the Old Naledi and Newstands areas, most of whom suffer from HIV/AIDS and cancer. The Hospice provides palliative care assistance throughout the week and is managed by Pearl Ncube, who helps ensure patients are cared for by receiving 3 meals a day, to home visits every Wednesday to ensure their well-being.
“The work that is being done in the hospices across our country plays an integral role in helping to support those suffering from a wide variety of ailments and who so desperately require medical and lifestyle assistance.
