Promising rainfall nationwide

Good rains have been experienced across the country throughout the month of November, with even the Kgalagadi desert recording above normal rainfall.

The Department of Meteorological services says the country started experiencing showers from October 11, 2014; although during that month, rainfall amounts was generally less than 20mm at a few places in most of the districts, except the North East and the Chobe, which received negligible amounts. 

Responding to The Monitor questionnaire,  the Meteorology Department  said between November 2 and November 27, 2014, however, significant rainfall was experienced over most of the districts, with some areas recording levels of more than 50 mm or more in 24 hours.
