Ombudsman partners DMA to raise awareness

The office of Ombudsman in partnership with the Debate Masters Association (DMA) will host an educational debate and discussion for students in schools and tertiary institutions.

The purpose of the one-day event is to raise awareness about the role of the Ombudsman in society and its necessity in a democracy as well as get feedback from members of the public and appreciate their views on the office’s oversight role. “The event is likely going to cost us close to P10,000.

United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) will fund this event and we wish we could find money to keep on sponsoring it.
