Galaxy lead the First Division South table with 20points after nine games.  They have only lost once winning six times. Galaxy has accumulated 20 points and they need to reach 24 points to be in the clear of promotion. The side hammered Killer Giants 2-0 on Sunday to increase the lead at the top of the log.  Mogoditshane Fighters is second with 17 points after losing 2-0 to Prisons XI over the weekend.

Galaxy spokesperson, Kealeboga Ramogobya told Mmegi Sport yesterday that they are trying hard to keep focus and continue playing well.  He stated retrospectively that excitement could have a negative impact on the club whose main aim now is to widen the gap between them and Fighters. Ramogobya revealed that it is important for the club to score as many goals as possible.

“We want to set our own record especially that we are a new side. We must make sure that when the first round ends, we have won all our matches.   “That

will put us in a good position to achieve our mandate of qualifying for the be MOBILE Premier League. There is light at the end of the tunnel,” he said.

He stated that they intend to beef up their squad when the transfer window opens as a way of preparing for the future.

Meanwhile, First Division South League chairperson, Sam Keitireng explained the kick off delay in the Prisons and Fighters game on Saturday. Keitireng said team have been informed that matches should start at 4:00 pm due to high temperatures.

He said it was unfortunate that teams had arrived early at the ground thinking that the game was starting at 15:30 hours. He mentioned that clubs are aware of the changes to kick off times.  “This weekend we are playing all our matches on Saturday because of the availability of referees. You are aware that there will be no be MOBILE Premier League action due to the Zebras game on Friday,” he said.
