Chiefs face exit as GU, Rollers stamp authority

Traditional giants, Township Rollers and Gaborone United (GU) edged closer to the Mascom Top 8 semi-finals with comprehensive victories in the first leg of the quarterfinals while Mochudi Centre Chiefs’ trip to Selebi-Phikwe ended in a nightmare. The other quarterfinal is on a knife’s edge with BDF XI and Police XI deadlocked at 2-2. The start of this season’s knock-out competition saw 14 goals in four matches.

Rollers and GU are all but guaranteed places in the last four after convincing away victories.

Rollers crushed Motlakase Power Dynamos 3-1 in Serowe on Friday night, while a Kgololo Kgogobi-inspired GU whipped a hapless Satmos 3-0 in Selebi-Phikwe on Saturday.
