FRANCISTOWN: Teachers have been urged to fight for better sporting facilities if the country is to make a mark in international sports.

Officiating at the Botswana Integrated Sports Association (BISA) north zone sports awards held at Adansonia Hotel over the weekend, businessman, Tiro Seloma, said the state of sports facilities at schools leaves a lot to be desired.  He said in their current state, the facilities do not support meaningful sporting activities, which can assist to unearth talent at grassroots level.

Seloma said although sport is a money spinning industry, the relevant authorities are not doing much to construct proper facilities.
