Massive uptake of Poso Card

SEBINA: Over 80 percent beneficiaries of various government social benefit initiatives facilitated through Botswana Post have taken up the use of the Poso Card electronic payment system, Minister of Transport and Communications Nonofo Molefhi has said.

The beneficiaries who use the biometric smart card are said to be pensioners, the destitute and war veterans.

The cards can also be used for food purchasing, paying of water and electricity bills by beneficiaries.
