The principal of the Botswana Bible Training Institute the Reverend Dr John Philip has written to government to sack the entire board of the bible college, calling them corrupt.

In a letter dated October 2, and signed by only himself, but listing  four other members of staff, John Philip asks the director of civil and national registration to sack the board  for nepotism. John Philip accuses the board of nominating their spouses and children onto the board. He also dismisses the board as inefficient because they ignored staff salary review for years, refused to introduce pension for staff, and other benefits. Interestingly the board has also written their complaint to the Ministry of Labour and Home Affairs about John Philip on a related matter.

In their letter the Board states that as far back as 2010 a decision to transform the college into a company was taken and it was agreed unanimously that all five board members would be the shareholders of the new company. The board explains further that it agreed that for the smooth transformation of the organisation into a company they shall nominate only  relatives.
