President Ian Khama has told residents of Gabane and Mankgodi constituency that he is confident that his party will win the upcoming general elections slated for October 24.

He said this yesterday in Mankgodi at a Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) star rally for Parliamentary hopeful, Lesedi Mmusi.  Khama said his undivided confidence was boosted by the increased numbers of opposition members who had defected to the ruling party since his recent visits to different constituencies around the country. “I am confident we will win. Nna ga kea lapa, santse ke siame. Ke lepako,” he said.

Khama further said they had received over 3,000 defected members from the opposition.
