Tshireletso defends Khama�s political use of aircraft

SELEBI-PHIKWE: Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) parliamentary candidate for Mahalapye East Botlogile Tshireletso has said that continued onslaught and petty talks by opposition on President Ian Khama are a sign that they have got no policies to talk about. Speaking at a rally in Selebi-Phikwe East, Tshireletso dismissed reports that Khama used official aircrafts on political party campaigns with his party members.

 

“He is the head of state and him being a BDP member does not disqualify him from being the President. People tend to forget that the President is duty bound to be accompanied by an entourage including members of the opposition when he happens to address meetings in their respective constituencies. Lesang lefufa because he remains the President,” she said.
