Miner killed in freak accident

FRANCISTOWN: Shoddy safety measures have come under fire at Tati Nickel Mining Company (TNMC) following the death of a 27-year old miner.

Matsiloje Police Station commander, Superintendent, Obert Manji, confirmed the accident to Mmegi. He said they received a report about the accident around 8pm on Saturday.

“I can confirm the death but I am not in a position to say more because we are still investigating the matter,” he said.
