Gaborone Bonnington South parliamentary hopeful Botsalo Ntuane attracted multitudes to his rally held this past Saturday. The event started on a high note when Ntuane accompanied by other Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) dignitaries, including vice president Ponatshego Kedikilwe, made their way to the Bophirima grounds. Kedikilwe was guest speaker.

A band and jubilant party supporters escorted the group from the main road. They were given a standing ovation when they arrived inside the massive tent.  The colourful rally showed that Ntuane doesn’t underestimate his political opponents. His message was loud and clear, “I am in this game to win.”

To demonstrate his streetwise savvy nature, he invited South African kwaito group, Trompies, to entertain the large crowd. The quartet comprising Jairus Khuse, Zyne Sibika, Mandla Mofokeng and Eugene Mthethwa did not disappoint as they performed some of their favourite hit songs. They took to the stage with the popular song, Sweety Lavo, which sent the crowd into a frenzy.
