Child drowns, granny horrified

MAUN: A granny, who cannot be named for ethical reasons watched in horror as a one year, two months old child left in her care drowned in a bucket of water in Gweta, the police have said.

The granny acted quickly to notify the police who ruled out foul play and the granny has now joined fellow aggrieved at the vigil to bury the baby.

The incident happened in Gweta when the baby drowned in a 20- litre water container last Thursday according to the police.
