Botswana Boxing Association (BoBA) goes to the polls in Lobatse on Saturday where Thato Patlakwe is seeking to oust Michael Moroka from the organisation’s presidency in the heavyweight bout.

Moroka, a former boxing referee, has a rich boxing resume’ while Patlakwe hopes lending BoBA his services in the past will earn him enough votes to take over.

Moroka is credited with retaining the Botswana Breweries Limited (Mooka Mageu) sponsorship for the just-ended national boxing championships. He has done the same with the Debswana Mining Company, who bankroll the BoBA awards.
