Newly formed Jwaneng Galaxy FC have forged a working partnership with South Africa Premier League side, Platinum Stars. The new development will see player movement between the two clubs. Galaxy FC was born out of a merger between Jwaneng Comets and Blue Diamonds.

Galaxy spokesperson, Kealeboga Ramogobya said the deal with Platinum Stars has motivated his players as they stand a good chance of moving to the Rustenburg based side. He said Stars’ chief executive officer recently visited Galaxy were they shared ideas. Ramogobya said the club was invited to the recent match Platinum played against Kaizer Chiefs and afterwards, the players held a training session together. He said plans are underway for Galaxy and Stars to play a friendly match.

“We are also in the process of getting the same brand of kit (Acelli) that is used by Stars.” Galaxy has been on a recruitment drive ahead of the new season. The club has acquired the services of notable players like Boitumelo Mafoko, Mmusa Ohilwe, Toy Moroka and Bobo Motlhabani. There are also players on trial from a South African First Division side, Obit.
