Women in court on allegations of vehicle theft

Two women have appeared before Village Magistrate Linah Oahile-Mokibe on a charge of possession of a suspected stolen vehicle. The duo, Lerato Davis and Julian Bradley who are out on bail, are accused of stealing a Toyota Hilux double cab in South Africa in 2012. They are also accused of forging documentation papers for it, while in transit to sell it in Zambia.

The trial continued yesterday when the first state witness Otlametse Tiroyakgosi from the Department of Road, Transport and Safety, took to the stand. He told court that vehicle documents seized from the two accused were brought to his office for verification of authencity.

Tiroyakgosi said the documents depicted that the vehicle was a white 2007 Toyota Hilux double cab owned by Lerato Davis while the previous owner was Lesedi Motors.
