Family fingers cops after missing woman found dead

The family of Gabantese Ramocha, the woman who was found dead at Bokaa dam have taken a swipe at the Botswana Police Service (BPS) for negligence. The deceased’s family say they long reported the missing person to the police who did not take the matter seriously only for her body to be discovered floating in Bokaa dam on Tuesday.

The deceased’s older sister, Malebo Ramocha told Mmegi that her sister, who was also known around the village by the name of Mmaonyana, went missing on July 13.

“ Mmaonyana went missing on the Sunday of July 13. Of course when she did not return home that night we did not press panic buttons because we though she would eventually come home,” she said.
