Soldier shoots himself dead

FRANCISTOWN: Police are investigating a case in which a man alleged to be a solider shot himself dead with a gun at his yard in Donga in the early mornings of Monday.

The Assistant Station Commander of Central Police Station Edward Leposo confirmed the case saying they are not in a position to disclose where the man aged between 40-50 years was working, neither can they reveal his initials because his family members have not yet been informed about his death.

“Yes we have that case with us here but we are not in a position to disclose where he was working together with his name as it would not be a good thing for his family members to see that information in newspapers before they can be properly informed, “ he said.
