Teenager charged with three rape counts

FRANCISTOWN: A 19-year-old herdsboy from Makomoto village in the Central District appeared before Principal Magistrate Sijabuliso Siziba yesterday to answer for three counts of rape, two of which are minors.

In the first count the state alleges that Kagiso Muzila raped a 13-year-old girl at Matsiloje on February 8 this year. On the same day Muzila allegedly raped a nine year old girl of the same village.

According to the police Muzila raped the young girls while he was given accommodation at their parents’ home at around 11pm.
