Indoor shift pays dividends for volleyball

At the beginning of the season, the BVF committed to playing games indoors. Keotsene said only two matches were played in open courts. He said although it is early days, the quality of play has improved. Clubs are expected to reinforce their squads when the transfer window opens after this weekend’s matches. It has, however, not been decided when the second round will start. There are four outstanding fixtures in the men’s league due to the uncertainty over Diphatsa’s ownership.
The military club’s fate hung in limbo for sometime after their sponsors, Botswana Defence Force (BDF) threatened to withdraw. However, BDF has since backtracked, pledging to assist the club until the end of the season. On Saturday Diphatsa play two matches against Itekeng and Kutlwano while BDF plays Magstimela and Diphatsa on Sunday.
The contest had 10 beautiful young girls as finalists and unfortunately only one could wear the crown.The judges picked Anicia Gaothuse.
