Batswana encouraged to embrace transformation

He said education has been provided freely to Batswana youth, adding that primary school net enrolment rate reached 93.1% in 2013.“With the advent of local tertiary institutions, which are not easily accessible but also cost effective, we are able to train more students than before,” he said. Makgatlhe noted that the Vision Council believes that education is key to transformation society, hence the resolve to educate children in all parts of the country.

He said 95% of the Botswana population lives in close proximity to health posts and cannot be denied access to treatment and care even they don’t have the P5 medical expense contribution fee.  “To ensure that we remain healthy, we have significantly improved access to safe drinking water. About 96% of the population has access to safe drinking water from 77.5% in 1996,” he said.
