Makwala delivers as Montsho, Amos falter

Former world champion, Montsho and Olympic silver medalist, Amos are yet to hit top form, but there are no such worries for Makwala who was once again in devastating form on Saturday.
The man who has smashed all three national sprints records romped home in 44.71 secs in the Diamond League. The previous weekend he recorded Africa’s best 400m time of 44.01 secs. He is now a favourite for a medal at the Commonwealth Games, which start on July 23 in Glasgow. Despite his recent good run, Makwala said he is not under pressure to deliver a medal in Glasgow. “I am not under pressure. I understand you can win and lose some,” he said. Makwala attributed his improved form to good training during the off-season.
