Khama announces new safety nets for disabled and the elderly

Nkoyaphiri residents in Mogoditshane on Saturday evening heard that in a few weeks time government will announce two safety nets programmes for the elderly and the disabled.

President Ian Khama made the announcement at Nkoyaphiri Kgotla Saturday evening around the bonfire, where he was accompanied by assistant ministers Keletso Rakhudu, and Patrick Masimolole, also the area MP.

President Khama announced that there will be government officers around the country specifically for the elderly in an effort to improve their welfare. The President said the officers will report to the coordinator in Gaborone.
