The Directorate on Corruption and Economic Crime (DCEC) on Friday dropped a hint that it may be in the process of handing over the much talked about Kgosi docket to the Directorate of Public Prosecutions (DPP).

In their first ever press statement since they attempted to block the media from reporting on the corruption investigation of Isaac Kgosi, head of Directorate Intelligence Services (DIS) through the courts, the DCEC absolved President Ian Khama from accusations that he is blocking the prosecution of the security chief. Kgosi is a longtime Khama confidante.

Bowing to public pressure and the zeal to restore its credibility, the DCEC may be signaling that it is about to hand over the controversial docket to the DPP.
