BOCCIM in Brazil mission

The Botswana Confederation of Commerce Industry and Manpower (BOCCIM) will next month undertake a business mission to Brazil in pursuance of their objective to grow and promote the Botswana private sector in foreign markets.

BOCCIM will attend the second Brazil-Africa forum scheduled for 28-29 August 2014 in Fortaleza, Brazil.  The target groups for this forum are the ministers of states, diplomats, government officials, businessmen and African and Brazilian scholars to find new business opportunities and ventures on different sectors. The sectors represented include Power, Agribusiness, Construction, Transport, ICT, Health ICT, Finance, Capacity Development, Security, and Public-Private Partnerships. In a statement BOCCIM said the objective of the Forum is to increase trade and investment relations and help establish a networking relationship between Brazil and African countries.  The forum will also be expected to provide a platform for actions involving major segments of Brazil and Africa in the infrastructure sector.  BOCCIM has asked members and other businesses who are interested in expanding into international markets to utilise this platform.  Delegates will depart August 26 – 27, from Gaborone to Fortaleza and return on the 30th of the same month.
