Nominated Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) councillor, Kabo Sebele is reportedly planning to contest the Molepolole North parliamentary seat as an independent candidate (mokoko). Sebele has been disgruntled after the BDP snubbed his attempts to challenged his loss in the party primaries to Assistant Minister, Gaotlhaetse ‘GUS’ Mathlabaphiri.

Although he denied reports that he wants to be a mokoko, Sebele said some BDP members are encouraging him to enter the fray as an independent. He said he will not desert the BDP. The three are alleged to be lobbying other losers to contest independently.
